Part 2: Ecigs Problems and their Solutions
In continuation of the article about e-sig problems and their solutions, we have prepared another block about five most common questions relating to the operation of devices.
1. Getting a burnt taste
Unpleasant feeling in the mouth after another inhalation, burning smell - all this must draw your attention to the electronic cigarette atomiser.
Firstly, you may be simple run out of liquid. Most clearomisers should be left for some time to allow the e-liquid to soak into the wick and atomiser. In such case, you need to show a little patience and temper your thirst for vapor.
Secondly, a burn taste may mean that it’s time to change the coil. Depending on the intensity of vaping and liquid, you should change coil approximately once a month. Exact time is purely individual and often influences the taste.
By the way, do not forget to burn a new spiral to clear it of skin fat or, on the contrary, liquid snuff.
2. Not tasting the e-liquid
In the process of vaping, you may suddenly discover that the taste has disappeared, you do not like a liquid or you just do not taste it. Do not panic! If it happens to you, the problem can be solved very quickly.
It happens all the time. Very often the taste disappears when you eat or drink for a long time the same thing, for example, soda or mint ice cream. Strong taste gradually becomes boring until the complete disappearance. In the perfumery, a sense of smell is restored with coffee beans.
It is enough to drink some water and to use e-liquid with another taste. In addition, do not inhale too hard; it will save your taste buds and coil. If a drink of water does not help, we recommend you to take a break and switch to another liquid.
3. Getting a dry throat
This means that there is too much propylene glycol (PG) in e-liquid. If a drink of water is not enough to cure it, switch to vegetable glycerine (VG) based eliquid.
4. Gurgling noises
Do you get a gurgling noise when you are using your electronic cigarette? You probably have a flooded atomiser/clearomiser. Possible causes include overfilling the clearomiser, screwing the clearomiser on to the battery too loosely or too tightly, and cross threading the clearomiser.
The best solution is to clean the clearomiser. Take the clearomiser apart, if possible, and run it under hot but not boiling water. Leave for at least 24 hours to dry.
5. Charger not working
It happens sometimes. If you are a guru of electronics, you can take it to pieces and check what is wrong. However, most likely, you will have to buy a new charger. The best solution is to connect your e-cigarette through a USB. If it still cannot be charged, there is a problem in the battery pack.
