PDA without USB. Sigelei Mod-T150
Sigelei has launched quite a controversial mod. Its package is hinting at high technology and it does have some advantages, but it also has conspicuous errors.
Package and appearance
Manual and technical specifications are very detailed. Authors listed all those who shouldn’t use the device: people under 18, pregnant, diabetic and heart disease sufferer. So sweet.
The appearance of the mod resembles an old-school Nokia.
In front of the mod there is a display, as well as connector in the middle of the device. The surface is glossy. At the bottom there are holes for gas outlet and on the back there is a place for battery. Display provides a lot of information, including clock, internal mod temperature, battery charge level, inhalation calculator with possibility to set limitations.
At the bottom of the display there are three buttons: switching power modes, settings and screen lock. In settings menu there are a lot of different bells and whistles for example cutoff controller, timer for display switching off, language settings, inhalation limitations etc.
Impressions
Overall the device is good but has some disadvantages. Power indicator shows 150 watt but real feel is about 100 watt.
Ergonomics also has some objections: device has sharp edges and it is not convenient to be held. Buttons are also not very easy-to-use and each touch leaves finger-prints on the glossy surface of the device.
And the most important thing is that the device looks like a PDA, but has no USB interface and thus its firmware upgrade is impossible.
Conclusion
Advantages: touch screen (but this feature may be referred to disadvantages as well), small size, convenient screen locker.
Disadvantages: Ergonomics, power indicator, USB unavailability.
