Moscow City Duma offers to ban vaping in public places
Moscow City Duma has passed the act on the ban of vaping in public places and marketing vaping devices to minors.
Chairman of the Commission for Healthcare and Public Health Protection of metropolitan parliament – Lyudmila Stebnekova – commented this decision in the following way: “I offer to adopt this resolution. Let’s address the government of the Russian Federation, send the document to everyone and work with a view to regulate this issue at the federal level”.
Participants of the round table, that was gathered to discuss the aspects of regulating sales of electronic inhalers, offered to legislatively validate the notion “electronic nicotine delivery systems” (ENDS) and make it equal to the notion “electronic non-nicotine delivery systems” (ENNDS). Now, legally there won’t be any difference between nicotine and non-nicotine vaping devices.
During the meeting deputies decided to turn to the Ministry of Healthcare of the RF with a request to research how exactly electronic vaporizers and hookah influence the human body.
